Law Preview was one of the best things I could have done before coming to law school. It prepared me and gave me a set schedule to follow. I ended the first semester with all A's and I received the highest grade in one of my classes. Law Preview gives you the tools you need to do well your first semester by outlining exactly what you need to do to be at the top of your class. I think it is a definite necessity to anyone entering law school.
—Anonymous, University of Southern California Law School, Class of 2011

Law Preview gave me the background of legal education that I didn't learn right away at law school. It gave me a head start and made me feel confident in knowing what to expect by showing me the big picture of legal education. I probably would have felt very lost my first few weeks at school if it weren't for my experience at Law Preview.

My first semester at the University of Tennessee went quite well. I followed the plan and when grades were posted last week, I found I made a 3.72 GPA. As far as individual courses go, it was A+ in Contracts, A in Criminal Law, A- in Torts, B+ in Legal Writing, and B+ in Civil Procedure. Class ranks officially don't come out until the end of January, but the Career Services office approximates I will be in the top 5% of my class, with a ranking of anywhere between 4 and 7 in a class of 156. . . .This semester was challenging, to say the least. But I never felt myself getting overwhelmed, especially at exam time. Studying for exams wasn't stressful at all, and your test-taking tips really helped me (apparently, especially in Contracts)!

We have not received our class rank yet. Based on my GPA, I think it is safe to say that I rank pretty high in the class. Law Preview provided me with a framework of understanding for each of my first year courses, and it helped ease the transition into law school.

The Law Preview experience helped me enter my Fall semester with confidence. I knew what I was getting myself into with law school and attending the summer Law Preview course really helped me to start my law school career off ahead of my classmates.

My week spent at Law Preview was instrumental to success in my first year. Having a basic familiarity with new terms and a big-picture conception of the structure of each course was an invaluable tool. I still use my notes as a reference and have drawn upon the explanations of the Law Preview instructors time and time again. Having a basic introduction to the big topics I faced as a first year gave me a huge advantage over my classmates who were seeing topics for the first time. Law school often comes down to the little things that set you apart from a classmate on the curve, and Law Preview has given me a helpful edge to compete at a higher level. I highly recommend a Law Preview course to anyone entering law school. It's a chance to develop practical skills and absorb material before heading into one of the most academically rigorous years of a student's career! Thanks for making such a difference in my first year!

Thank you so much for the help before my first year of law school. I attended the Houston session last summer and it really helped prepare me for the rigorous first year. The class offers insight into all the core courses and really does a good job explaining what to expect from the law school experience. Because of the class, I was able to develop a study routine which helped me make a 3.75 in my first semester of school followed by a 4.03 in my second semester which included 1 A+ and 3 A's. My overall GPA is now a 3.90 which puts me near the top of my class. Thanks so much Law Preview.

Law Preview was exactly the exposure I was looking for; not only did the program introduce concepts and rules of law, but it provided a law school environment where we were exposed to case briefing and different teaching styles. I was most impressed by the quality of the professors and by the interest that the Law Preview staff took in its students and their future. In what other prep program will the president email you with follow-up advice after you finish the class and once you've started law school?

After Law Preview, I knew what to expect when I entered the law school classroom. It gave me a good overview of the first year subjects, case reading and briefing, and teaching style. Law Preview allowed me to hit the ground running when I started the first day.

My grades were as follows: Contracts A+, Property A-, Civ Pro B+. I haven't received my legal research and legal writing grade yet, but I should o.k. . . . All of my exams this semester are closed book essay, so I'm confident that my preparation and training paid dividends. In terms of work, I ended up getting a 1L job (pre-grades offer) with a big firm, based in large part on my work exp. I'm going to do research for a prof for the second half of the summer. Law Preview was an invaluable orientation to law school. Before I arrived to school, I had practiced reading and briefing cases and had a solid plan of attack. By diligently staying ahead with my reading and by keeping on schedule, I was able to pay better attention in class and to focus on my professors' personal views. When "crunch time" came around at the end of the semester, many of my classmates had difficulty figuring out how to outline effectively, while I had already begun weeks earlier and was ready to focus on practice exams. Also, because I was well organized, I had plenty of time to prepare cover letters and resume for the Dec. 1 mailing date. Overall, Law Preview gave me confidence that I could conquer law school, and I wasn't disappointed.

This program was immensely helpful in dealing with the pressures of the first semester. More than anything else, it gave me the confidence to know that I would do well. I had a plan from the beginning, and did not struggle with the lack of direction that many of my fellow classmates had.

Law Preview was instrumental to my first-semester success at UT where I earned a 4.26 GPA. The Law Preview materials were terrific! In fact, there were many occasions when my assigned readings for law school included cases that I had previously studied at Law Preview. I learned how to read judicial opinions and brief cases at Law Preview, and those skills proved to be invaluable. Most importantly, Law Preview helped me design a solid study plan, and I was able to maintain focus throughout the semester.

I had a plan from the beginning and the confidence in knowing that I could truly succeed if I stuck to it. When other students didn't know what was going on and trying to figure things out, I was already reading, outlining and reviewing materials to prepare for my exams. My hard work and the preparation I received during my week at Law Preview really paid off -- I finished my first semester with a 3.91 GPA

Attending Law Preview is one of the BEST decisions I made for my academic career! The knowledge I gained in just one week at Law Preview was absolutely crucial to my early success in law school. I received invaluable advice on how to prioritize and budget my time, and I was prepared for what to expect from my classes and exams. Most importantly, I entered my first year with an inner-confidence that saved me from a significant majority of the stress that my peers were experiencing first semester. The guidance I received from Law Preview was a major factor in my ability to attain first and second year honors, make law review, and eventually end up a department chief on the law review's Board of Editors. By knowing what to expect out of law school, I was able to hit the ground running straight for the prize, rather than running in circles. THANK YOU!!!
