I wanted to send a quick thank you to the Law Preview organization. I attended your class at Northwestern last summer before attending the University of San Diego. I received my first semester grades last week and landed an A- average. If I keep it up, I will be in the top ten percent of the class at the end of the year and will receive an invitation to law review. Thank you for your help in getting me there.

Add another satisfied customer to the Law Preview Alumni. Rank 16 out of 246, well within the top 10 percent and Law Review bound. Thanks for the help guys and keep up the good work.

Law Preview helped familarize me with what to expect first year, from how professors would teach, what type of material I would learn, and how to interact well with my fellow classmates. Beginning school, I felt I had a 'head start' compared to the other students. Also, the schedule helped keep me organized throughout the semester and up to date on my work and outlines so I wasn't cramming at the end.
—Megan A., University of San Diego School of Law, Class of 2008

Gave me leg up on class. More importantly gave me enough confidence to know when I had done enough work and what the important things to focus on were.

Law Preview gave me a more piece of mind of what to expect before law school started.

Law Preview helped to reduce my apprehensions about the first year of law school. When we started classes, it was a familiar, rather than new experience and so I could concentrate on what was happening in class rather than being nervous.

USF does not publicize ranking of students beyond top 5% and they have not yet posted general rankings. I did get a 4.0, however. Law Preview provided a road map for getting through the first semester. Not only did it provide the basics in briefing, but also gave the general number of hours per week per class you should be studying, how to use supplements, when to start outlining, etc. This kept me on track throughout the semester, and I never fell behind as a result.

Law Preview introduced me to some of the basic legal concepts and terms that I would encounter in the first semester. This really helped me to understand the cases better and follow along with class discussion. Law Preview also calmed many of my anxieties about law school, which allowed me to focus all of my attention on the subject matter. I felt much more relaxed and confident because of the program.

Attending Law Preview got me into the right mindset to begin and do well in law school. The skills and success tactics workshops were particularly helpful in developing a realistic idea of how time consuming and demanding law school would be. It helped me to structure a rigid schedule that kept me on track and ahead of the curve all year long. Since I had taken 2 years off between undergrad and law school, Law Preview was invaluable in getting me back into the rigor of daily classes again. Also, many of the cases discussed during Law Preview came up in my actual classes - this made me feel like I was one step ahead of everyone else.

I am a single mother with custody of 3 elementary-aged children. Law Preview helped alleviate my nervousness about re-entering the classroom after being out for 10 years. It also gave me a chance to focus on the type of material I would be studying and it gave me a game plan for the first year. Without the tips and confidence Law Preview gave me, I don't know if I would have made it through the first year. I highly recommend this program to anyone, but especially to those going back to law school after being out of school for a while.

I attended the Law Preview session in DC last summer, and just wanted to say thanks. I have no doubt the program gives incoming law students a huge advantage over other 1L's. The confidence of knowing ahead of time what was coming up with respect to class preparation, exam-taking, and actual case law made getting into the flow very easy. And having some case briefs already done was really nice! After one semester, my GPA is 3.571 and I'm in the top 5% of my class (even had the highest exam grade in Criminal!)... I attribute that largely to Law Preview. Keep up the good work.

I felt far more prepared than most of the other first year law students I met. Law school was better than you guys made it out to be, so that was a relief!

My school did not rank us after the first semester but gave percentage break downs. I was in the top 10% out of 88 students. Law Preview's schedule and advice on how much time is needed to prepare for daily work and finals was the most helpful. The course eased my fear and made me feel much more confident. By following the schedule I was able to review on the weekends which helped me tremendously.

The number one thing that Law Preview did to help me personally was in the area of time management. I watched so many other students fall flat on their faces at the end of first semester because they had not maintained a steady schedule throughout. The Law Preview calender and timeline were huge in helping me stay calm and work through a schedule that coincided well with the first semester workload.
—Aaron G., University of South Dakota School of Law, Class of 2008

The course gave me the confidence to set my schedule and use my time wisely rather than be concerned with what other classmates were doing and how they were using their time.

Hi Don, I just wanted to let you know that my first semester went very well here at USC. I received grades that put me in the top 10% of the class. I attribute that to getting started on the right foot with your class, among other things. I have used the exam writing materials extensively, which has helped me significantly. . . . The Law Preview course has been very helpful so far, and I'm sure it will continue to be so in the future. Thanks again.

I wanted to thank you for Law Preview last year. I have now completed my first year at the University of Southern California Law School, and it has clearly had a huge impact! While my classmates were panicking and struggling to get oriented, I already had a big-picture view of the courses, which allowed me to really focus in on the important issues! The knowledge I gained from Law Preview, combined with the advice I followed, allowed me to have a much more productive, enjoyable, and stress-free first-year experience.

Law Preview is a great way to get a head start on law school. It teaches you the basics that they do not teach you in school. Law school is an investment in yourself, and if you are going to invest that much time and money into your education, you want to do it right. Law Preview helps you take advantage of your first year to the fullest, instead of floundering, like so many first year students do. It is an intense week, but well worth the effort.

Law Preview made me confident that I was capable of excelling in law school because I went into my first day of classes with a plan. I had a general overview of the concepts I was going to be learning, I was familiar with case briefing and I started with an understanding of how much time it was going to take in order to do well. Although I ended up modifying both the case brief form and the study schedule to meet my own needs, it was helpful to have a base to start with and a point of reference to keep me on track. I found that I was better able to log long hours in the library, manage my study time effeciently and effectively, and keep my focus through the last final because I knew before getting started that the first year of law school was going to be a marathon, not a sprint.

Law Preview helped me feel more confident beginning law school, making the transition much smoother [ranked #20 out of 200 after first semester]!
