The best thing about Law Preview is the tips that they give you about managing your time. I followed the plan to the letter. I only briefed and read for the first six weeks and then after that, I began outlining and preparing for exams. It worked! I ended up in the top 5-10% of my class, even winning awards for the highest grade in my section. Also, it was helpful to go into the first semester having already read some of the most important cases and having been introduced to some of the key subjects. I honestly think it was the smartest thing I did all year.

As an undergraduate, I relied on my ability to BS and learn quickly to get decent grades. I never developed good study habits or much discipline. Needless to say, I knew that I was going to be in for a world of hurt if I didn't do something to get ready for law school. Law Preview was the perfect something. After the first semester, I have a 3.74 and a great plan for academic success. It started with knowing what I was getting myself into, which the pre-course reading really helped with. Then it meant getting a basic grasp of the material, so that I could actually engage in school from day one, without the panic. The time in the program with the professors really helped build that basic understanding. Lastly, it meant knowing how, what, and when to study. The course, the materials, the advise, the follow-up emails, I couldn't say enough good things about how all of this truly useful and concrete information transformed my approach to school. At law school, you will hear a ton of advice, from students, from professors, from lawyers, from other companies. The Law Preview approach is the one: work hard, work smart. I didn't waste much time at all figuring out how to get started, and I used my exam time efficiently. I even slept well most nights. So, thank you so much for a great program.

I was better prepared for what to expect during my first semester of law school. Others were much more stressed; I knew what was important to focus my attention on, instead of getting caught up with all the minute details in every case. Finding old exams, outlines from upper-levels, and utilizing study aids when I needed them, helped me so much. With a 3 year old at home, the preparation and knowledge that Law Preview gave me was (and is) invaluable!! . . . Law Preview lowered my level of anxiety at the beginning of the school year. I don't know my ranking at the end of my first year, but I have a 3.51 GPA. Law Preview was very helpful in putting me a step ahead of my classmates in the beginning of the semester. When they were learning how to read and brief a case, I was learning the rule. As the semester went on the gap left, but I still think it helped me a lot with confidence and study skills. Everyone else was getting advice from 2L's, but I felt like I had concrete experience behind the advice I got at Law Preview.

I am very happy that I invested in the law preview program. I am happy to say that at the end of my first year of law school I ranked in the top 14% of my class. The first semester of law school you will find that you are surrounded by extremely strong personalities. You will be stressed and you will be surrounded by other stressed people sharing their haphazard strategies for doing well. Your first year of law school feels like a hurricane (you are overwhelmed by the stress of achievement, the standards, the Socratic method, etc). I would say that law preview was my safe haven. Above all else, the Law Preview program allowed me to glide into my first year of law school with a sense of ease. Peace of mind, is a very crucial thing. In addition to peace of mind the law preview program gave me strategies and made me more focused. It allowed me to save time, concentrate better, and ultimately achieve my results. I highly recommend the program to any first year

When I entered my first year of law school at The University of Florida School of Law, I was very happy with that opportunity. Although I was an 'average' student going in, I ended up doing very well -- finishing in the top 2% of my 1L class. The success I enjoyed as a 1L at Florida allowed me to transfer to Harvard Law School, and that's something that was certainly not an option I had prior to starting school. I definitely think that Law Preview was one of the reasons I did so well my first year. Law Preview gave me a process to follow and an understanding about how to study and absorb the material I'd be learning. In addition, the law professors who teach with Law Preview provided me with an overview of each of my 1L classes, so I had a good understanding about the material I'd cover throughout the year. Finally, learning how to take a law school exam and walk through Law Preview's exam-taking strategies with a law professor from a top law school was a great opportunity and something that I truly appreciated; I was able to use these strategies many times throughout the first year of law school. I would recommend the Law Preview program to anyone -- whether you are planning to go to a small regional school or a large national one. No matter what law school you attend, how well you do during your first year is going to dictate the job opportunities you'll have in the end, which is why I think this program is really for anybody.

Everyone you're competing against in law school is smart, but only 10% of each class ends up in the top 10% (trust me, I did the math). For the most part, the only thing separating those at the top from those towards the bottom is how quickly they figure out the "law-school game" (law school exam-taking ability, study skills and the case method, etc). Pretty much everyone will eventually figure it out, but your first year grades hinge on your ability to figure it out quickly. Law Preview gave me the tools to do just that. Through law preview, I gained a huge advantage that put me up towards the top of the class.

As a 40 year old, returning to law school after having been in the working world for 19 years, I was seriously concerned with how I would adapt to academic life. Law Preview built on some of the books that I had previously read and provided additional insight. I feel that I entered the classroom with insight into what was going to happen. I was not surprised by anything they threw at me. I took the directions about studying to heart, used the recommendations about time allotment, and found that I graded on to Law Review at the end of the year. Top 10% in my section. Law Preview is not a magic bullet and will not 'get you on Law Review'. But, it kept me from spinning my wheels on the irrelevant things and the email reminders made sure that I was focused on time sensitive issues long before my colleagues caught on. The Law Preview experience is a great tool to have in the toolkit when you start, but it will not solve anything without consistent hard work implementing the suggestions.

I followed the Law Preview plan exactly: briefed every single case, did all reading on schedule, reviewed with flashcards, made my own outlines... and there were no surprises. I was prepared for everything. The biggest plus is that Law Preview helped me start ahead of the pack. Taking the course the summer before school really prepared me mentally as well, so I understood the challenges I was facing but also had the confidence in the skill set I'd developed over the summer to get the job done and stay focused on my goals. The schedule Law Preview provided helped me stay on track, and I also appreciated that Law Preview didn't leave me hanging during the semester. They promptly responded to every question I emailed, and I there's nothing better than candid advice. Now I'm in the top 2% of my class, and I have confidence that I can continue to excel. . . .
