[Law Schools: All] [Graduation Year: All]

The main thing I can thank Law Preview for is helping set up a good schedule. While most of my peers were stressed for time and under a lot of pressure to get certain reading and writing assignments finished, I never felt the stress that many other students did. I had all my outlines finished before finals even started and was a go to guy from other students. The schedule and preparation made all the difference.

—Robert L., SMU Dedman School of Law, Class of 2009

Class ranking has not been released but based on ranking of the graduating class I should be at or near the top 10%. Law Preview helped my law school experience by preparing me for the year through an understanding of how to brief cases and what needed to be done on a continuing basis to stay ahead of the class and succeed in school. This gave me a large headstart over my competition and greatly reduced my stress level as I began law school.

—Robert S., SMU Dedman School of Law, Class of 2010

I went into Law School knowing how to brief cases, knowing the language of the law and knowing the subject matter that was being presented. That was all extremely beneficial to me; however, the best thing about Law Preview is that I met my best friend and a familiar face in my law school section. He and I have helped each other through the semester, formed a study group with other students and relied on our Law Preview materials to help along the way. I was thankful for the experience and the people I met.

—Beka P., SMU Dedman School of Law, Class of 2011

Starting law school is a daunting task especially when they barrage you with enormous amount of new information. Law Preview was like CliffNotes for law school. It helped me to set my bearing and rest in the fact that unlike so many of my classmates, law school classes were not the first time I heard the new terms like promissory estoppel. Having a head start definitely put me at an advantage. I would definitely recommend it to any rising 1Ls.

—Yon S., SMU Dedman School of Law, Class of 2011

Law Preview gave me an idea of how fast paced classes and school in general were going to be. Once you fall behind in the readings you just cannot catch up. I took a lot of notes while in Law Preview (pages upon pages upon pages). I wrote down stuff that didn't even make any sense at the time. And before all of my finals I went back and read through that stuff. It certainly helped.

—Anonymous, SMU Dedman School of Law, Class of 2011

I attended Law Preview last summer in Houston, and I can not thank you enough. I can honestly say that Law Preview made the difference in how well I did my first semester. The professors you had were top notch. It gave me confidence walking into class knowing that it was not the first time I had seen these difficult concepts, unlike most of the other students who had not taken Law Preview. This confidence allowed me to pay better attention to what was important in class and take better notes, which allowed me to differentiate myself from my classmates when it counted -- on the exam. By using the methods you taught me, I finished my first semester at the top of my class (3.76 GPA), and I fully intend to stay at the top by continuing to use your methods. Thanks again.

—Stephan S., South Texas College of Law, Class of 2006

It was helpful and scared me, in a good way, into trying really hard. Which, when you try hard, always lead to better results.

—Anonymous, South Texas College of Law, Class of 2008

I feel as if I was well prepared and that there were no suprises. The time that I spent with Law Preview has helped me stay one step ahead of my classmates. I would highly reccommend the program to all incoming 1Ls. Thanks.

—Edward M., South Texas College of Law, Class of 2009

All in all, by applying the tools I learned in Law Preview, I was able to stay focused, and finish my first semester at least in the top 15%, if not the top 10% (rankings aren't out yet), and was named to the Dean's Honor List. Thanks again, and I look forward to using the same methods for my entire law school career.

—William S., South Texas College of Law, Class of 2010

I don't know my numerical ranking yet, but I do know that I am in the top 5% of my class. I also received the highest grade in Torts II and Constitutional Law. Law Preview was extremely beneficial. I felt prepared for my first year because I knew how to study, when to start outlining, and what to expect from exams. I followed the schedule and used the case briefing template throughout my first semester. I truly believe the program gave me an edge.

—Kimi G., South Texas College of Law, Class of 2010

I'm writing to thank you for the Law Preview course I took last summer. I was barely admitted into the school via wait list, and I had absolutely no studying skills before I attended Law Preview. Law Preview gave me an outstanding overview which helped me formed my study plans, so I knew exactly what to do, when to do them, and how to do them. What helped me the most was your lecture on the right attitude to go into law school with; I was able to maintain positive the entire semester even though at times it was frustrating and many things seemed to go wrong. Now I have an above 4.0 GPA: 2xA+,2xA, 1xA- after first semester, which puts me at about top 1-2%. Thanks again, couldn't have done it without you.

—Anonymous, South Texas College of Law, Class of 2011

It helped to bridge the transition between undergrad and law school, such that I was focussing on learning the material while my peers were still learning the law school process.

—Michael P., Southern Illinois University School of Law, Class of 2010

I attended your Los Angeles session over the summer. Just thought I'd add to the list of satisfied customers. Fall grades came and I received an A in Contracts and made the Dean's List. Thanks.

—C.W., Southwestern University School of Law, Class of 2006

Law Preview gave me the confidence and the tool set to hit the ground running during the first semester. While other students were falling behind on the readings, not studying smartly, and fearing the inevitable Socratic exchange, I was confidently working (instead of struggling) through the semester. When finals arrived, I knew how to study, what to study, and had a great overall plan to arrive in a good spot at the end of the semester. I'm glad I took Law Preview before beginning my law school career. I would have been lost without it.

—Dustin L., Southwestern University School of Law, Class of 2011

I decided to take the Law Preview summer course because I came from an art background, had never taken a single political science class, and hadn’t scored as high as I would have liked on the LSAT. But I did everything Law Preview said and at the end of the semester I had earned a 4.0 and had scored the highest grade on my Criminal Law exam. Because of that, I got a scholarship that more than covered the cost of Law Preview. It’s the best kept secret and the best investment any entering law student could make toward launching their career.

—Dawn H., Southwestern University School of Law, Class of 2012

Thank you so much for creating such an outstanding program. When I first heard about your course I knew it would be a great way to map out my preparation for law school, but I didn't realize until I arrived just how great the group of legal minds you assembled really were. The professors were not only highly regarded in their respective fields, but they were openly enthusiastic in teaching us what we needed to know. I feel like I have the inside track on not just my courses, but on how I should study, what law school tests look like, and even what my professors look for and want in their students. The biggest relief is not having to play guessing games with my professors!! I believe ALL incoming law students should take this course to prepare themselves for such a monumental year.

—Catherine R., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2004

I've told anyone even remotely thinking of going to law school to take the class . . . it was an amazing experience. Law Preview and my Starbucks card are the two best investments I made before going to law school.

—Antara K., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2006

I dominated my first semester, no doubt all thanks to Law Preview. Unfortunately I slacked a bit second semester, but I still made Law Review and ended up in the top 11% of my class. I wish I had Law Preview during winter break! The program was great and I have already recommended it to many people. Thanks, again. It was definitely worth every penny. Jodi

Having worked for several years before applying to law schools, I was nervous about getting back into a school setting. I signed up for Law Preview, hoping that it would re-acclimate me to the classroom, the note taking, and the concentration I would need to get by in law school. I was happy with the week I spent, feeling confident that at the very least, I would not be completely lost when classes began. After a week of school, however, I realized that I had received much much more from the week I spent with Law Preview. I knew how to read and understand cases, which reduced the stress of preparing for classes, and gave me more time to outline and review my notes. I was able to prepare for finals throughout the semester, using the strategies Law Preview gave me to attack outlining, studying, and test taking. Law school exams are hard, but Law Preview helps to maximize your potential by showing you how to focus your time and concentrate on the important issues. I ended my first year near the top of my class. I was invited to join Law Review and I interned for a federal judge in my first year summer. Now, nearing the end of my second year, I am looking forward to a summer associate position at one of New York's top law firms. I owe many thanks to Law Preview!

—Amanda U., St. John's University School of Law, Class of 2009

I think it gave me confidence and an idea of what the workload would be like. In the end the specific details of courses were too broad of an overview for it to be useful when looking back. Finally, the best part of the class was talking about exams and just driving in the idea that professors are looking for grey areas in the law. As much as the first year is about learning the law, its just as much about learning how to take the final exam and this course was very good at preparing for that.
